Will Stein and the Kentucky Wildcats are on the board in the transfer portal. The first transfer commit in the Stein era will be Arkansas linebacker Tavion Wallace, who committed to the Wildcats on Saturday during a visit to Lexington.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett broke the news first.
Originally a class of 2025 recruit, Wallace signed with the Arkansas Razorbacks and appeared in nine games this season, so he’ll have three years of eligibility remaining. He logged 55 snaps on special teams, most of which came
on the kickoff return unit, and 11 on defense while making two tackles, according to Pro Football Focus.
Coming out of high school, Wallace was a 4-star prospect ranked 185th overall, 16th among linebackers, and 25th in the football-rich state of Georgia. He held additional scholarship offers from Ohio State, Georgia, Florida, LSU, USC, South Carolina, Michigan, Florida State, Louisville, and Missouri, among many others.
UK fans are very familiar with Tavion, as he’s the younger brother of former standout Wildcat Trevin Wallace. Trevin played at Kentucky from 2021-23 before being drafted in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers.
This hopes to be the first of many commitments to come from UK’s busy weekend with transfer portal visitors.
