The Mark Mitchell saga has been one for the ages.
After gaining a fifth season of eligibility, Mitchell committed to the Kentucky Wildcats, immediately elevating them into the national title conversation.
But less than two weeks after his commitment, Mitchell decided instead that he’d return to the Missouri Tigers.
Now, the question becomes: How high is Kentucky’s ceiling without the potential preseason All-American?
With Mitchell, banner No. 9 looked like an attainable goal for these Wildcats.
Is that
still the case?
Kentucky certainly has a talented roster, one that looks capable of making a deep run in March. But does this team truly have a ceiling that can reach the highest level of the sport? Is Kentucky even capable of making a run to the Final Four?
