Barcelona have been linked with a shock move for Rodri after losing Frenkie de Jong to a knee ligament injury.
The Catalans have confirmed that De Jong has been sidelined with the problem and it’s expected he will be out for several months.
According to RMC Sport, Barcelona have since made contact with Rodri’s camp as they consider strengthening their midfield.
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also being linked with the Manchester City star after a summer where he added the World Cup to his long
list of titles.
Rodri’s future may be in the headlines for some time now, as Manchester City also want him to extend his contract at the club.
Meanwhile, the Spain midfielder is due to undergo back surgery shortly and will therefore miss the start of the new domestic season while he recovers.
