Sweet, sweet, sweet victory. For the first time in the 2025 NFL regular season, the New Orleans Saints finished a game on top as Spencer Rattler and Kellen Moore both earned their first career NFL wins.
Behind a strong defensive showing, New Orleans bested the visiting New York Giants by a final score of 26-14. Let’s check out how social media reacted to the big win.
Extra Possessions:
New Orleans won the turnover battle against New York in convincing fashion. Three fumbles and two interceptions led to the Giants getting shut out in the turnover battle. Both of Jaxson Dart’s INTs were thrown to Kool-Aid McKinstry. Not only did the Saints force five TOs, but they did so all on consecutive drives. New Orleans would take advantage and score 13 points off the turnovers.
Bush-League penalty:
Late in Sunday’s game versus the Giants, New Orleans’ Carl Granderson was flagged for an egregious roughing the passer. The penalty took away a sack from the Saints’ leader in the category and prevented him from being ranked second across league leaders for sacks this season.
Ending the Streak:
The New Orleans Saints’ victory against the New York Giants marked the first time the team had won a game since December 8, 2024, when they defeated the… You guessed it… New York Giants. A little short of a full calendar year, but many members of Who Dat Nation rejoiced in the triumph.
