One of this week’s wrestle web hot topics* has been the rumored return of Tom “Bishop Dyer” Pestock to WWE.
In a matter of days, the story went from “WWE is talking about bringing back the former Baron Corbin”, to “Corbin has wrapped up outside commitments and is believed to have already signed with WWE”. I even got excited about a possible role that would pair the former NFL lineman and Money in the Bank winner with a hot act in a role where he could excel, and is appropriate for a 41-year-old being
brought back by a company that chose not to re-sign him a couple years ago.
Pestock is throwing water on those latest reports, however. After tweeting and deleting another version, he reposted aggregation of the most recent rumor with cleaner copy of his denial:
Had to correct my horrible grammar. I accepted 8 shows in Europe. My eye is still swollen from Australia. I also didn’t know i was done with some of these companies. Who ever is making my schedule needs to let me know this sh*t. I thought it was me but apparently it’s not
You’ll note that Pestock doesn’t say he’s not returning to WWE, and instead focuses solely on the “finished up” part of Fightful’s report from yesterday (May 20). Which reminds us to point you this evergreen piece of writing from my friend Kyle Decker…
Let us know if/when you think we’ll see Baron Corbin back in WWE. You can do so in the comments below.
* Not to be confused with Hot Topic, every mall-goer’s hook-up for Young Bucks merch possibly-AI, definitely poorly QC-ed retro WWE shirts.
