Chelsea have fallen out of the top-five after picking up just two points from our last three games, and now we face another big challenge with Wednesday night’s game. This one, in fact, could have direct repercussions on our top-five fates, with Villa also in bad form, but still holding a six-point advantage on us, currently in fourth place.
Given the short turnaround from Sunday, we’re not likely to get any of our injured players back, so Marc Cucurella and Estêvão are set to miss out once again.
In more positive news, Liam Rosenior expects Cole Palmer to be available, and is hoping that Romeo Lavia is ready for more minutes after marking his return to competitive action with a substitute appearance against Arsenal.
We’re now in the midst of the season-defining stretch, both domestically and in Europe. Can we stop being our own worst enemies and get back to winning ways just at the right time?
