Shortly after taking Iowa center Logan Jones, the Chicago Bears traded pick #60 to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for pick #69 and pick #144. This means that they gave up 300 points of value for only 279 points. This was yet another discount in night that was full of them. The “DJ Moore pick” basically was traded for the value of #63 overall.
It’s hard not to speculate that the run of defensive players before Chicago’s second-round selections motivated Ryan Poles to recapture some sort of value,
even if it was not an ideal trade by the book. The Titans used the pick gained from the Bears to select off-ball linebacker Anthony Hill, jr.
One positive note is that this trade did fill in the back end of the draft where Chicago’s number of selections had been depleted.
