The matchup for Super Bowl LX is now set, with the New England Patriots set to take on the Seattle Seahawks in Santa Clara, California, for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It will be the second-ever meeting
between the two franchises on football’s biggest stage.
However, that leaves 30 other fanbases to choose between rooting for one of those teams — no matter how gross it feels — or to hope for a giant meteor to crash the party. Of course, some people just enjoy the game for the commercials and the halftime show. That is also fair.
While it seems unlikely that Detroit Tigers fans, who are ostensibly also Lions fans, would have any dog in this fight, many of us have secondary allegiances or just simply love the game and enjoy watching the highest level of competition. For me personally, there is probably a basketball game on that night I would rather watch.
Of course, we are all just pining for the return of baseball, are we not?
