BYU Football is back in action on Saturday night at LaVell Edwards Stadium. The Cougars will open the 2025-2026 season against the Portland State Vikings.
While Sat. is the season opener for BYU, Portland State played against Tarleton State on Aug. 23. The Vikings were defeated by a final score of 42-0. Both Tarleton and Portland State are FCS schools.
Saturday will be the second time PSY and BYU have met on the football field, with the prior time coming in 2017 in Provo. BYU won that game by a final
score of 20-6.
