The MLS regular season comes to a close on Saturday with all the Eastern Conference matches starting simultaneously at 4p and the Western Conference matches kicking off three hours later at 7p. In addition we have a USMNT head-to-head matchups before players come to camp next week. Unfortunately, injuries have already started to make an impact on the roster so we’ll be watching closely this weekend, hoping there are no further changes needed to the roster that is set to face Haiti over the next two
weeks. Here’s what we’re keeping an eye on:
Friday
Hamburg v Borussia Mönchengladbach — 2:30p on Fandango / Peacock (Spanish): Joe Scally nearly scored his fourth goal of the Bundesliga season last weekend only to see it called back after VAR review as Gladbach then settled for the scoreless draw with Paderborn. Gladbach will face Hamburg this weekend in an early season relegation scrap. Gladbach now have the first four points of the season from their last two matches and are five points back of Hamburg, and five other teams, who sit on nine.
Venezia v Udinese — 2:45p on Paramount+: Gianluca Busio received his first start since suffering his injury in mid September and played 55’ last weekend but Venezia fell to Como 1-0 and remain on three points through their first ten matches. They will now face Udinese who sit just above them at the bottom of the table on five points.
Toulouse v Strasbourg — 2:45p on beIN SPORTS: Gio Reyna and Mark McKenzie will face off in France on Friday afternoon before meeting up next week as teammates for the USMNT as McKenzie was added to the roster on Friday as an injury replacement. Reyna and Strasbourg are coming off a 5-1 thumping of Auxerre but still have just ten points in nine matches and are tied with McKenzie and Toulouse who are coming off a 2-0 loss to Marseille. The two teams are just two points ahead of Troyes who currently sit in the relegation playoff position.
Saturday
Portsmouth v Stoke City — 7:30a on Paramount+: Jack McGlynn scored his four of the season last weekend in Stoke’s 2-1 win over Blackburn bringing his tally to six goal contributions in his eight matches since being moved into the starting lineup. Stoke are in fourth place in the Championship, already fourteen games into the season as they travel to tenth place Portsmouth who are just four points back.
Leeds United v Tottenham — 7:30a on USA Network: Brenden Aaronson saw just 6’ off the bench last weekend in Leeds 2-0 loss to Bournemouth, a week after getting his first start in nearly two months. Leeds are winless in their last five and in twelfth place just a point back of Tottenham who had a rough start to the season but have now won three straight matches.
Borussia Dortmund v Elversberg — 9:30a on Fandango / Peacock (Spanish): Cole Campbell scored his second goal of the season, a very nice finish indeed, as Elversberg defeated Mainz 4-1 last weekend. It was Elversberg’s fourth win on the season and they currently sit in seventh place, a very solid start to the season for a team that many assumed would struggle to stay up in their first year of promotion. Elversberg will be visiting Dortmund where they will take on a side that drew with Bayern Munich 2-2 last weekend and remain tied on points for the league lead. Unfortunately, Mathis Albert, who was called into the USMNT squad, was not with Dortmund for the result.
Paderborn v Eintracht Frankfurt — 9:30a on Fandango / Peacock (Spanish): Santiago Castaneda, one of the newest additions to the USMNT squad, has been a regular 90’ player for Paderborn this season and really should have become a regular fixture on the viewing guide already. Castaneda and Paderborn played Gladbach to a scoreless draw last weekend and are in fourteenth place, just two points removed from the relegation playoff spot. Paderborn have given up just nine goals through eight matches, which is third best in the league, but they’ve also only scored six which has been their real struggle to start the season.
Fulham v Newcastle — 10:00a on USA Network: Antonee Robinson and Fulham drew 1-1 with Aston Villa last weekend and will now host a Newcastle side that fell to Everton 1-0 and are two points ahead of Fulham in the table. Robinson has started three straight and 8 out of 9 matches this season.
West Bromwich Albion v Millwall — 9:00a on Paramout+: George Campbell and West Brom drew with Southampton 1-1 on Tuesday to remain a point ahead of them in the table and in the last playoff spot. Unfortunately, Campbell came off at the half with a groin injury and had to be removed from the upcoming USMNT roster, replaced by Mark McKenzie.

Sunday
Genoa v AC Milan — 9:00a on Paramount+: Christian Pulisic scored his third goal of the season and Yunus Musah started and played 80 plus minutes as AC Milan defeated Inter 3-1 last weekend. Despite the derby win Milan are still four points back of Inter and seven points back of league leading Lazio. They travel to face Genoa this weekend, a team that are in eleventh place but have won three straight
Crystal Palace v Liverpool — 9:00a on Peacock: The struggles of Crystal Palace and Chris Richards continued last weekend as they fell to Tottenham 2-0 and are now in the relegation zone in 18th place. The team has given up nine goals in their last three matches and failed to score themselves. On Sunday they will be hosting a Liverpool side that are also having a down year, relative to their high standards. Liverpool are coming off a 1-0 loss to Arsenal last weekend and a midweek 3-2 loss to Fenerbahce in Champions League play.
Ipswich Town v Bournemouth — 10:00a on Peacock: Tyler Adams scored his first goal of the year on Thursday in Bournemouths 3-1 win at Sparta Praha in Europa League action. Bournemouth have won seven straight across all competitions and all four of the Europa League matches. They have risen to eighth place after a very slow start to the season and will be facing 14th place Ipswich Town this Sunday who have drawn their last two matches.
Rennes v Lille — 9:00a on beIN SPORTS: Bryan Reynolds was a halftime substitute last weekend for Rennes as they looked to turn the tide after giving up three goals (including two penalties) in the first half. Unfortunately, they would give up two more in the second half, falling to Nice by a final score of 5-2. It was the third time in the last six league matches that Rennes have given up four or more goals. The team did hold Olympiacos scoreless on Wednesday in their nil-nil draw in Europa League play. On Sunday they will face a Lille side that are currently sitting second in the Ligue 1 table, two points back of PSG.
Köln v Bayer Leverkusen — 9:30a on Fandango / Peacock (Spanish): Malik Tillman came off the bench last weekend as Leverkusen fell to Stuttgart 4-2 and again midweek as they lost to Marseille 1-0 in Europa League play. They now travel to Koln having lost three straight, including their last two league matches. They are in sixth place in the league, five points back of the leaders and will be facing thirteenth place Koln who are coming off a 1-1 draw with Union Berlin.
Cambuur v PSV — 10:45a on ESPN+: Sergino Dest started and picked up an assist last weekend and Ricardo Pepi returned from injury to score one and assist one as PSV absolutely hammered Willem II 7-0. Unfortunately they could build no momentum as they fell to Club Brugge 2-1 on Wednesday in Champions League group play with Dest again starting and Pepi coming off the bench for 21’.
Brest v Lyon — 11:15a on beIN SPORTS: Tanner Tessmann has started three straight league matches and on Thursday went the full 90’ and provided the assist on the tying goal as Lyon drew with Real Sociedad 1-1 in Europa League group stage play. Lyon are in third place in the French first division and will be traveling to play 10th place Brest who are coming off a 2-0 win over Lorient.
Le Mans v Monaco — 11:15a on beIN SPORTS: Folarin Balogun was a halftime substitute last weekend and scored his first goal of the season but it was not enough to pull Monaco back as they would fall to Paris FC 3-1. Midweek Balogun received his first start of the 2026-27 campaign as Monaco defeated Nordsjaelland 2-0 in Conference League action. Despite the lack of playing time for club Balogun has been called in to the upcoming USMNT camp and is the likely starter to lead the attack.
Villarreal v Getafe — 12:30p on ESPN+: Alex Freeman got the start on Tuesday in Champions League play as Villarreal faced PSG in their fourth group stage match. Unfortunately they were embarrassed, falling 6-0, though according to the player rating systems Freeman was the least bad of the Villarreal defenders. Freeman saw just 10’ off the bench last weekend as his team fell to Espanyol 1-0 and they will now face a Getafe side that is level with them on points.
Fiorentina v Juventus — 2:45p on Paramount+: Weston McKennie was subbed off after a scoreless first half last weekend as Juventus would go on to defeat Napoli 2-0 and was not on the matchday roster on Thursday due to adductor pain but there have been no reports about him being replaced on the upcoming roster. With last weekends win Juventus are in seventh place and are now facing a Fiorentina side that have just two wins in ten matches, though one did come last weekend as they defeated Sassuolo 4-2.
Lens v Marseille — 2:45p on beIN SPORTS: Timothy Weah went 90’ on Thursday in Marseille’s 1-0 win over Beyer Leverkusen in Europa League action and he has played the full 90’ in each of Marseille’s last three league matches as well. The team is on a three match winning streak and are in sixth place, three spots ahead of their hosts this weekend Lens, who were humiliated in Champions League play on Wednesday in front of their home fans, falling 9-1 to Como.
Atlético Madrid v Barcelona — 3:00p on ESPN+: Johnny Cardoso has missed three straight matches for Atletico Madrid and was not called into the upcoming USMNT camp by Mauricio Pochettino. His Atletico Madrid side have dropped points just twice this season but still trail league leading Barcelona, who they host this weekend, by two points.
