Barcelona’s attempts to land Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid appear to be fizzling out but Deco has insisted he’s still working hard to sign a replacement for Robert Lewandowski before the transfer window closes.
Lautaro Martinez has once again emerged as a target and is reportedly the club’s priority. However, there are other options, according to Cope’s Victor Navarro.
Arsenal striker Viktor Gyokeres said to be “is offering himself to Barcelona daily” but it’s not known yet if there is any interest
from Barcelona.
Gyokeres’ name has popped up repeatedly throughout the summer, usually in regards to a move to Atletico with Alvarez going the other way, and it seems he may just be hankering after a move away.
The other name being linked with Barcelona right now is Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi. Navarro says the youngster is “very, very much liked” at Barcelona and may be one to keep an eye on.
Diario AS are also talking about Tresoldi, saying he “features prominently” on Barca’s current shortlist of options to replace Alvarez and that the club are tracking the 21-year-old.
