They’re heading into the Lambeau Field locker rooms at halftime, and your Minnesota Vikings trail by a score of 10-6 against the Green Bay Packers.
The Vikings’ offense got themselves on a roll behind Jordan
Mason to start the second quarter, handing the ball to Jordan Mason on multiple plays and getting the offense into the red zone. Then, on a 3rd-and-1 play from the Green Bay 17, they had T.J. Hockenson take a snap from under center and attempt a sneak for no gain. The ensuing 4th-and-1 saw Mason get stuffed for no gain, resulting in a turnover on downs.
Green Bay then marched down the field again, largely on the strength of their ground game, as Emmanuel Wilson has looked like prime Ahman Green so far in this one. He picked up a bunch of chunks of yardage, and the Packers got down into the red zone. Eventually, the Minnesota defense got a stop, and the Packers settled for a 32-yard field goal from Brandon McManus to extend their lead to 10-3.
J.J. McCarthy led the Vikings’ two-minute offense into Green Bay territory on a nice pass to Justin Jefferson, but then took a sack that pushed them to the edge of field goal range. But, when you have Will Reichard as your kicker, that edge is a lot farther away, and Reichard connected on a 59-yard field goal to make it 10-6 as we head into halftime.
The Packers will get the ball first coming out of halftime, and they currently hold a 10-6 lead over the Vikings as we head into halftime. Come on in and join us for the third quarter of this one!
