Bay FC announced today the acquisition of Racing Club de Avellaneda forward Agostina Holzheier. The Argentine international has signed a four-year contract through 2029 with an option for an additional year. Her addition to the roster is pending her P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate.
“I’m very happy and
proud to join Bay FC,” said Holzheier. “This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step in my career, challenge myself in a new league and represent a club with big ambitions. I’m coming with a lot of energy, ready to work, learn from my teammates and the staff, and give everything for this team and its supporters. I can’t wait to get to the Bay Area and begin this new chapter.”
The 22-year-old arrives at the Bay club after spending three-plus seasons with Racing and having played for River Plate and Brazilian side Gremio. She leaves the Argentine league as one of the top goalscorers and having helped Racing to be at the top of the table. Holzheier also has represented her national team since 2021 and has helped Argentina qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
“I’m delighted to welcome Agostina to Bay FC,” said Emma Coates. “She is an exciting, tenacious and creative player who will bring quality and intensity to our squad. Agostina has a competitive mentality and playing characteristics that fit what we are building at Bay FC. I’m looking forward to seeing her make an impact for our club and supporting her development over the coming seasons.”
