The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are 0-2, and yet they are still ranked inside both the AP Top 25 (24) and the Coaches Poll (21). Both of Notre Dame’s losses came at the hands of current Top 10 teams (Miami and Texas A&M), and both losses came ion the final minute of play.
The start is nothing what Irish fans thought it would be, but it’s still not a complete dumpster fire. While other fans may scoff at the Irish still being ranked, Notre Dame is still a good football team — just not nearly as good as we
need or hoped.
Notre Dame’s next opponent is the Purdue Boilermakers inside Notre Dame Stadium. The Boilers are 2-1 with wins over Ball State and Southern Illionois, but lost at home last week to the USC Trojans, 31-17. it’s a team that has 70 new players this year… so it’s not quite as terrible as last season (maybe).
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Notre Dame is a 27.5 point favorite over Purdue with an over/under of 54.5.
Just from strictly a betting line perspective, it shouts something like a 42-13 type of game.
