We asked, you answered.
Indiana is set to be without running back Lee Beebe Jr. for the remainder of the regular season following an injury he suffered against Indiana State. The implications for the Hoosiers’ rotation at running back are immediate with Indiana set to take on Illinois on Saturday.
Roman Hemby will no doubt get his share of carries as Indiana’s lead back through the first three weeks and Kaelon Black certainly has the ability and experience to step up, but someone’s probably going to have
to take on that third spot. Khobie Martin, a redshirt freshman, is the obvious answer.
Martin got plenty of carries in the second half against Indiana State but but very, very limited experience. He fits the mold the Hoosiers like at that position and that could be all that matters. When we asked what you thought, fans were strongly in favor of him taking on a larger role in the backfield against the Illini:

It remains to be seen how the Hoosiers will split carries. Indiana settled in on a firm 1-2 punch with Justice Ellison and Ty Son Lawton last season, so it could be Hemby-Black with Martin getting on the field when either of those guys need a breather.
