The conversation around the Cleveland Browns quarterback situation has been an all-year thing. The Browns had five quarterbacks in training camp before releasing QB Tyler Huntley and trading away QB Kenny
Pickett. Starting QB Joe Flacco struggled early in the season and was benched for QB Dillon Gabriel, who has also struggled.
Cleveland couldn’t say no to the Cincinnati Bengals and sent Flacco there in a trade
, leaving just the two rookie quarterbacks on the roster. Veteran QB Bailey Zappe was signed to the practice squad.QB Shedeur Sanders had the most excitement surrounding him, with his college performance, personality, and famous last name. When Gabriel left Week 11 with a concussion, Sanders stepped in but struggled to get the offense moving. The Browns reportedly didn’t want Sanders playing at all this year, but are now set to start him in Week 12 versus the Las Vegas Raiders:
This week, many focused on Sanders not getting first-team reps yet, but HC Kevin Stefanski noted that he will get all of them in the run-up to the Raiders matchup. Along with those reps, Las Vegas’ weaknesses could help Sanders be successful.
