Germany has been off to an interesting start under Jürgen Klopp. While the scorelines have not been favorable, there are some extremely good positives to take away from Klopp’s first international window as the DFB boss. However, the next couple of matches will place a greater emphasis on results as Klopp looks to send Germany to the Nations League quarter-finals.
With just two matches left in their Nations League group stage campaign, Germany will travel to play Serbia in Belgrade, as well as host
the Netherlands in Berlin. Any fans who made travel plans to the Serbian capital will hope they have flight cancellation insurance, as UEFA is punishing Serbia by forcing them to play behind closed doors, as reported by Bild and captured by @iMiaSanMia.
UEFA is punishing Serbia for racist and discriminatory behavior by its supporters in their recent matches against Greece and the Netherlands. It is a shame to see this behavior persist, and hopefully, UEFA’s sanctions can impact this sort of conduct moving forward. Thankfully for the German players traveling to Belgrade for November 13th, they won’t be subjected to that atmosphere for this match.
