Zilla Fatu got a lot of people talking after his surprise appearance last Tuesday on NXT.
One bird doing the most chirping is Grayson Waller. Fatu’s debut came two weeks after Waller’s fiery promo put WWE’s developmental brand on notice.
With the attention off him, Waller found a way to put the spotlight back on himself with an inflammatory promo directed at WWE’s cameras during an NXT live event Saturday in Petersburg, VA.
Said Waller:
“Hey Zilla. I was hoping to say this to your face, but I guess the benefit of being a nepo Uce is you don’t have to turn up all the time.
“But I will be there Tuesday night, and I have a lot to say to you. But I’m gonna give you an opportunity. You got a few days. If I were you, I wouldn’t turn up.
“Because if you keep turning up Tuesdays in my house — trying to take my opportunities — you will be on your own. No brothers, cousins, aunties, uncles, to save you from Grayson Waller taking you out in the deep waters and drowning you.
“So you know what you can do, Sheriff? You can acknowledge deez nuts, lad. Skip Tuesdays, got to Monday Night Raw, and carry Jacob [Fatu’s] bags like you were born to do.”
Waller then closed by mocking Jacob Fatu’s signature catchphrase: “Ya know what I mean?”
Those. Are. Fighting. Words.
Tuesday night and Zilla’s response can’t come fast enough.
As for Saturday in Virginia, Waller came up short in a tag team match with Naraku against NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo and Cruz Montana, according to PWInsider.
