Barcelona have reportedly asked Spain not to take any risks at all with Lamine Yamal after losing Raphinha to injury.
Raphinha’s been ruled out for five weeks after picking up a hamstring problem while on international duty with Brazil in what is a huge blow for the Catalans.
According to Diario Sport, Barcelona have been “reassured” by the Spanish Federation that Yamal will be taken care of while he’s away on international duty.
Spain are back in action on Tuesday against Egypt and it will be interesting
to see how much game time Yamal is given.
The teenager played 63 minutes against Serbia last week, while manager Luis de la Fuente said before the game that “the best have to play at all times.”
Barcelona and Spain have already clashed over Yamal this season, while Hansi Flick is said to be fuming at seeing Raphinha injured in a meaningless friendly at a crucial stage in the season.
