Another week of San Francisco Giants baseball comes to a close this weekend, so it’s time to make our picks for Player of the Week!
This week, I’m going with a player who made their MLB debut and did pretty well, all things considered. My pick this week is pitcher Matt Wilkinson, who made his debut in the Giants’ 1-0 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday. Wilkinson allowed just one hit in his two inning start. Is it a small sample size? Absolutely. But two innings
of scoreless baseball in your debut is nothing to sneeze at.
