The Real Madrid duo of Vinícius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes returned to the Emirates Stadium, this time with Brazil, led by Carlo Ancelotti, for the first time since their 3-0 defeat by Arsenal last season. Eder
Militão was not part of Madrid’s matchday squad against Arsenal as he was still recovering from his second ACL injury at that time. All three Los Blancos stars found a place in Carlo’s starting XI to face Senegal in the only international friendly during this international break.
Chelsea forward Estêvão put Brazil ahead with a curling shot from the edge of the box to make it 1-0 on minute 28. Real Madrid legend Casemiro doubled their lead seven minutes later, assisted by Rodrygo’s free-kick. Brazil couldn’t add to their first-half lead after the break, and the score remained 2-0 until the full-time whistle.
Rodrygo played 83 minutes, completed 25 out of his 29 passes, which included one assist. Vinicius was taken off with just one minute left on the clock. He created three chances and had two shots on target. Militão played the full 90 minutes. Ancelotti deployed him at right-back in this game. He completed 29 out of his 33 passes. Militão was solid with five clearances, two interceptions, and eight recoveries.
Brazil will remain in Europe for now. Their next fixture is against Tunisia on November 18, in France. It will be interesting to see if the Real Madrid players get some rest against Tunisia. Xabi Alonso’s side will continue their away tour until the first week of December, after this international break.
