Be careful what you ask for. Daddy Magic found out the hard way on AEW Collision (Oct. 4, 2025). He demanded to know why Daniel Garcia ditched him to join the Death Riders. Garcia finally answered, and,
well, the answer was harsh. Garcia also threw a verbal jab at Nigel McGuinness.
Garcia was in trios action with Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli to defeat Jay Lethal, Adam Priest, & “Dynamite Kid” Tommy Billington. The Death Riders executed a wicked teamwork finish. Moxley smashed a curb stomp on Lethal as he was trapped in the Sharpshooter from Garcia.
Daddy Magic sat in on commentary to watch Garcia in victory. After the match, Daddy huffed and puffed about Garcia leaving him high and dry. Garcia turned his head to ignore Daddy. Garcia finally had enough and delivered a hard truth.
Can you not take a hint? Did you not understand when I stomped your face in to the canvas last week. I guess I got to stand here, look you in your eyes, and tell you man to man.
Matt, I loved you. You were like a brother to me, bro. You was like a brother to me. But when I was hanging around with you, I was a loser. And that’s because you’re a loser too.
Now, I hang around winners. And if they’re going to be winners, then I’m going to be winners too. Matt, if I kept hanging around you, I was going to end up like that parasite right there (points to Nigel McGuinness).
Cut to Moxley’s reaction to that burn.
Garcia continued his rant.
So, listen to me, Matt. I don’t hate you. I know it’s hard. I’m not asking you to accept this. I just need you to understand.
Garcia dropped the mic to dap up his new family of winners.

Damn, indeed. Garcia was spitting heat. It’s hard to argue with the man about his direction under the guidance of Daddy Magic. Iron sharpens iron, and the Death Riders should sharpen Garcia’s skills. I like how Garcia’s promo set up future stories down the line. Nigel catching a stray should eventually lead to a match. Garcia making it clear that he doesn’t hate Daddy Magic should lead to a reunion moment years down the line before Papa Magie hangs up the boots. I also enjoyed the camera work in that scene with Garcia and Daddy Magic in the foreground while the Death Riders and McGuinness reacted in the background.
