The Portland Trail Blazers take on the Utah Jazz this afternoon at noon, Pacific time. It’s a road game but the opponent is injured and beatable. Portland will be without Ja Morant for the first time this season. Will they have the depth and resolve to take a win from their hosts, or will this be a scary Halloween for Portland fans?
This is your thread to discuss the action with fellow readers as it unfolds. The comments section is now open for your game-parsing pleasure. Make sure you tune in after

And here are our rules for GameDay threads.
- Blazer’s Edge is a non-profanity site. Yes, even though referees and the L*kers exist.
- Stay on topic in Game Day threads. There are tons of comments each evening. Adding off-topic ones here just gets confusing.
- No trolling, please. This includes ad hominem arguments, extreme language about the game or either team, and/or repeated “spammed” comments stating the same point, among other things. Keep conversation respectful and civil. This remains true for all parties if opposing fans visit the thread.
- No offensive language (racist, sexist, etc.) is ever allowed at Blazer’s Edge. Comments attacking or disparaging people for their inherent characteristics may (and probably will) result in immediate ejection from the site.
- Please avoid making comparisons, analogies, etc. to hot-button issues like politics, religion, and the like. We’re here to talk basketball, at least for the duration of the game.
Enjoy the action! See you after the game!
