I can appreciate that introducing The Opps Dojo and bringing HOOK back into the fold led to Samoa Joe becoming AEWs first-ever double-World champ at Full Gear, so he’s going to have some attachment to them.
I also support putting HOOK back with Joe, because any chance Taz’s boy has of recovering his former, perhaps ironic popularity required getting him back with the only member of the roster he’s shown real chemistry with — at least for a while.
But all that said, Joe should be looking for some upgrades. Maybe hire some Don Callis guys looking for a second gig. Because whatever they wear and whatever he calls them, The Opps Dojo are NPCs that have barely served as speed bumps to the two men stalking Joe right now. As for HOOK, there’s a reason he was on stage with the champ looking like he might wet his drawers as Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland hanged two Dojo students over with the ring ropes with chains…
My money’s on the guys that bonded over burning each other’s houses down.
