Game Summary:
More halves like this one, please! After going almost 3 minutes to score (thank you P2!), NC State warmed up and started hitting from outside. The Wolfpack shot 60% (9-15) from the 3PT line
and 50% (8-16) from 2PT and won the rebounding 17-11. Williams and McNeil led the scoring with 14 each and Copeland had 8 assists. Score, 49-31 at the half.
One thing you can count on with NC State, a big lead at halftime usually signals a ‘much too exciting’ second half. Copeland picked up his third foul at 18:37, score 52-33, and went to the bench. He reentered the game at 11:42 with the score 64-57. Able hit a 3PT on the next possession, pushing the lead back to 10. Wake cut it to 8 at about the 10 minute mark, but the Wolfpack pushed it out to a 10 point, or more, lead the remainder of the way.
