- Steve Kerr praises Moses Moody’s career-high 32 points, eight-made threes vs. Pelicans: “He’s in the starting lineup for a reason.”
- Draymond Green confronts fan over excessive “Angel Reese” chants during Sunday’s game against the Pelicans.
- Pistons’ Cade Cunningham to receive his own signature show after reaching a six-year endorsement deal with Nike, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
It was a career night for Golden State Warriors wing Moses Moody on Sunday. The fifth-year guard erupted for a career-high eight made threes — 8-of-12 from deep with seven of them coming in a scorching
hot first quarter — on his way to 32 points in the Warriors’ 124–106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.
Head coach Steve Kerr praised Moody’s performance, highlighting his growth as a movement shooter and his continued impact as an on-ball defender. Kerr said he’s thrilled to see Moody shooting the ball so well this season (45.3% from deep), adding that he has settled in comfortably into his role as a starter.
After the game, Moody noted it was the first time at any level he had ever reached eight made threes — a milestone that carried some personal significance within his family.
On a night when the Warriors needed a spark to get them going, Moody delivered — and his performance may be the clearest sign yet that he’s carving out a larger, more permanent role in Golden State’s rotation.

Why Moses Moody and Co. leading win vs. Pels is important to Warriors’ success | NBC Sports Bay Area
Sunday night in the Big Easy wasn’t about Curry, Jimmy Butler or Draymond Green. The shining star was Moses Moody, who scored a career-high 32 points on 10-of-16 shooting and went 8 of 12 on 3-pointers. His sizzling start was beyond being on fire. Moody made seven threes in the first quarter, joining Curry and Klay Thompson as the only Warriors ever to make at least seven threes in one quarter.
The proud product of Little Rock, Ark., was fueled by Southern comfort on his career night.
“I’m from the South, so whenever I’m down here, my joints feel better,” Moody joked on “Warriors Postgame Live.”
Draymond Green confronts fan over ‘Angel Reese’ chant | ESPN
Sam Green said he was taunting Draymond Green with chants of “Angel Reese,” because several of the Warriors’ star’s early rebounds resulted from his short-range misses, starting with a Golden State possession in which Green missed five straight shots and rebounded the first four.
“He just kept calling me a woman,” Draymond Green told reporters after the game, clarifying later that the fan was calling him “a woman’s name.”
“It was a good joke at first, but you can’t keep calling me a woman. I got four kids, one on the way. You can’t keep calling me a woman.”
Steph Curry caught up with former Warriors Kevon Looney and Jordan Poole prior to Sunday’s game against the Pelicans
NBA News:
After Willie Green firing, Pelicans must stop proving their detractors right | The Athletic
Removing Green may provide a temporary sense of relief, especially for those who grew tired of him and his lack of emotion during some of the team’s lowest moments. But Green being gone won’t be enough to save this franchise from the consequences of its poor decisions.
Williamson’s future in New Orleans remains uncertain, especially if his injury problems persist. The anxiety over the first-round pick that was traded away to acquire Derik Queen will only intensify as the team keeps stockpiling losses. Concerns about decision-making at the front office and ownership levels will only grow as those who laughed at the Pelicans all summer are proven right.
Pistons’ Cade Cunningham will receive his own signature shoe with Nike

The skinny on Moses Moody getting ‘skinny’ around screens
Notable in the possession above is Moody’s general insistence to “fight” over the screen by Mitchell Robinson and his ability to get “skinny” around the screen in order to slither through the tight space afforded by the screen. This allows Moody to stay attached to Brunson’s hip, enough for Jimmy Butler to come over and force Brunson into a wayward pass.
