The Cincinnati Bengals (3-6) are about at that point where teams start looking forward to the Draft, just in time to make some moves before tomorrow’s trade deadline.
Very few players on the defense should feel safe at this point. DJ Turner and Dax Hill are probably the only guys who have strong arguments for staying in Cincinnati.
Here are some guys we’d like to see moved:
Logan Wilson
He wants out. He isn’t contributing the way he used to. And he’s still young enough to intrigue teams into offering value. This
is an easy call.
Cam Taylor-Britt
He looked like Cincinnati’s CB1 of the future after a promising rookie year. He’s physical, and he has the mental tools to succeed in the NFL. But, for whatever reason, he just hasn’t been the same the past couple of years. A change of scenery would be best for both sides.
Jermaine Burton
Perhaps going to a top-rate organization with a coach who can instill in him some discipline will help the second-year receiver finally get on the field.
B.J. Hill
A great locker room presence and a solid all-around contributor, he deserves a chance to be on a line where he can have an impact again.
Geno Stone
He’s the anti-Jessie Bates, never finding himself in a position to make a tackle (though he does get the fortunate interceptions once in a while). He is a big part of the problem in Cincinnati. Time to admit it was a bad signing.
Jordan Battle
Might as well replace both safeties after that last-minute loss to the Chicago Bears. There’s just such poor communication and tackling in the secondary; it can’t really get worse.
Trey Hendrickson
I’m not really in the camp of getting as many picks as you can, especially when it comes to franchise legends. This is more about showing mercy to a guy who plays with heart and consistently performs. He is an absolute wrecking ball, even with no real pass rushers to team with. Moving him to a competent franchise will remind NFL fans of just how good he is.
