Given the early start time for the game, we wanted to bump back the Question of the Day until the postgame rush, so tell us — after Bayern Munich’s 2-1 over Aston Villa, who was the Meister of the Match in your opinion?
Kim Min-jae was the goal scorer for the Bavarians and played 63 minutes. Kim completed 95% of his passes (62/65), including 80% of his long balls (4/5). Kim also only lost possession 3 times on 75 touches.
There was also Tom Bischof, who had the assist to Kim. Bischof played 90 minutes,
completed 93% of his passes (76/82). Bischof also contributed 5 key passes and won 7 of 11 ground duels.
Jonathan Tah was a solid presence on the backline, too. Tah played 76 minutes, won 2 of his 3 ground duels, completed 94% of his passes (60/64) and only lost possession five times on 70 touches.
Luis Díaz chipped in with the team’s second goal in the 74th minute, which was spectacular. Díaz played 27 minutes and completed 9 of his 11 passes, including 1 key pass.
Arijon Ibrahimović was a pressing machine and delivered the assist to Díaz. For the game, Ibrahimović completed 70% of his passes (16/23), won 2 of 4 tackles, and had an interception.
Finally, Manuel Neuer had an insane save in the 84th minute to preserve the win for Bayern Munich. Neuer was not tested that often, but when he was, he rose to the occasion.
