Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Vikings fans and fans across the country.
We’re getting an early start on this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey about the Minnesota Vikings, so let’s set the table for this one, shall we?
Last week’s question was about whether or not you all thought the purple were going to make a return to the playoffs this season. The overwhelming majority of you said “yes,” which I guess shouldn’t
be surprising. So let’s explore the flip side of that question.
The Vikings are heading into their fifth season with Kevin O’Connell at the helm, and they’ve done the “every other season” bit when it comes to making the playoffs under his leadership, making the postseason in 2022 and 2024 while missing the dance in 2023 and 2025. This offseason, the Vikings brought new leadership into the front office in the form of former Seattle Seahawks executive Nolan Teasley after firing Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. If the Vikings break their pattern and fail to make the playoffs this season, could O’Connell’s job potentially be in jeopardy?
That’s the question we have for you this week, ladies and gentlemen. Some of you have already found it over in our Feed section, but now we’re making sure that even more of you can see it. Is Kevin O’Connell’s job in jeopardy if the Vikings don’t make the playoffs this season?
As always, we invite you to make your voice heard by casting your vote in our poll and sounding off in the comments, whether it’s here or in the Feed.
Have at it, everyone! We’ll have the results of our poll for you at some point over the weekend.
