The live episode of TNA Impact (Nov. 13, 2025) was humming along to build the Turning Point card for Friday night, then the show closed with a huge shocker. After an NXT invasion injured Mike Santana,
Frankie Kazarian won the TNA World Championship.
The show opened with Santana celebrating as world champion. Ryan Nemeth flapped his gums on behalf of his big brother, because Nic Nemeth’s flight was late on arrival. Santana wanted to put the pain on Ryan, so he arranged his first title defense for the main event.
When the time came, Santana barely broke a sweat against Ryan. It was easy work. Santana was ready to close with the Spin The Block lariat. That’s when Nic conveniently arrived backstage with the Call Your Shot trophy. Boom! A mystery man attacked Nic in the hallway.
NXT goons were led by Robert Stone to rush the ring for an invasion. Charlie Dempsey slapped an armbar on Santana, and Stone stomped a chair on Santana’s arm to cause injury.
That title match was thrown out, but another one was about to come.
Frankie Kazarian sensed blood in the water and rushed to cash in the Call Your Shot trophy. The referee initially refused to allow this match, but Kaz urged his right. The bell rang for an official world title bout. Santana knew he was in deep trouble with the arm injury. He charged forward anyway. Kaz quickly picked up Santana for a Fade to Black piledriver. Santana showed heart to kick out at 2.
Kaz went for the chicken wing submission. Santana backed into the turnbuckles to force an escape, then he delivered a big boot to stun Kaz. Santana went into motion for the Spin The Block discus lariat, however, he was in too much pain. Santana stopped short, and Kazarian scored a roll-up to win.
Just like that, Santana’s dramatic world title reign is over. Kazarian is the new king of TNA winning the world championship for the first time in his career.
