Iowa State University (2-1-1, 0-0-0 Big 12) ended its match against Creighton University (0-2-1, 0-0-0 BIG EAST) in a scoreless draw on Sunday at the Cyclone Sports Complex. The Bluejays had a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks and had five players receive yellow cards to ISU’s two.
Eme McClenahan, recorded three saves in the tie, successfully keeping Creighton from scoring throughout the 90 minutes.
Creighton had a different goalie for each half, Morgan Paley in the first half and Kailey Hall in the second
half. Each recorded two saves to secure a shutout in the match.
Sophie Forrester, Megan Walters and Cassidy Corcione recorded three shots each of the 15 total by the Cyclones.
In the first 10 minutes, Iowa State recorded a trio of shots, and by the 24th minute, they tallied their eighth and final of the half.
Creighton recorded three shots in the first 45 minutes.
The Cyclones tallied seven shots to the Bluejays four in the final 45 minutes.
