NXT star Mason Rook has received a lot of attention this year after being endorsed by John Cena. However, hours before the September 29 episode of NXT went on the air, Rook was pulled from his match
as WWE went on to announce that he is “out for the foreseeable future.”On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez relayed what he’s heard about the situation, which isn’t a work, and doesn’t sound good.
“Whatever is going on with Mason Rook, I have been told could be pretty serious.
But I don’t know what it is. I’ve just been told he could be out a long time. Could be a very long time. So, no one seems to really be talking about what the issue is. Whatever it is, it’s a real issue, and he could be out, like a long time. So, all the best to him as well. And, yeah, that’s all I know about that.”
We’ll keep you updated on Rook’s status as we learn more information, Cagesiders. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on Alvarez’s update in the comments below.
