Kentucky Wildcats women’s basketball got the week started with a win. Men’s basketball then took to Rupp and won their season opener against Manhattan by 28.
And it seems like even better news is coming for Mark Pope and company.
National recruiting analyst Joe Tipton sent a tweet out during the Manhattan game that bodes well for the future.
Because Tipton quote-tweeted his previous article about picking Kentucky for Cherif Millogo, it’s almost certainly
in relation to that. And if Tipton is right, we won’t have to wait too long to find out.
Remember, it was April before Kentucky got on the high school recruiting board last year. And that was 4-star Mason Williams, who wasn’t even a top-100 recruit.
If it is Millogo, that would give Mark Pope a recruit ranked as high as No. 8 by ESPN and No. 11 by Rivals, as well as someone to likely replace Moreno, who will probably go pro after this season.
Sounds like Kentucky fans will have something else to cheer about very soon.
