Well folks, it’s here. It’s the final game of the season for the San Francisco Giants, who will try to not get swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers. If they accomplish that, it will keep their Southern California foes from reaching 100 wins on the year.
There is perhaps some happiness that the season is over, and we won’t have to watch this team anymore. But that happiness is more than negated by the poignant news of the day: it’s the final day in the storied and perfect career of the great Mike Krukow.
