Series History: West Virginia is 1–2 all-time against BYU. The Mountaineers won the 2016 meeting at FedEx Field, 35–32, behind 468 passing yards from Skyler Howard. The Cougars took the other two, beating WVU 32–6 in the 1964 Liberty Bowl and 30–14 in the 2017 Heart of Dallas Bowl. Tonight marks the Mountaineers’ first-ever trip to Provo.
