After the final weekend of the regular season, the Big Ten Conference bracket has been revealed for the upcoming baseball tournament in Omaha, Nebraska.
The top four seeds (UCLA, Nebraska, Oregon, USC) all get byes until Friday and will only need to win three games to win the tournament. Meanwhile, seeds 5-12 kick things off on Tuesday morning with No. 5 Purdue taking on No. 12 Michigan State at 9 a.m. CT (10 a.m. ET). No. 8 Iowa takes on No. 9 Illinois at 1 p.m. CT before No. 7 Michigan takes on No. 10 Rutgers
at 5 p.m. CT. No. 6 Ohio State finishes the first day of action by taking on No. 11 Washington at 9 p.m. CT.
The non-top four teams will play in the double elimination portion of the tournament, while everything from Friday on is single elimination. The top four qualifiers from the first two days of the tournament will then advance to the single elimination rounds and be one step closer to the Championship Game.
The Michigan Wolverines were brutally swept by the Buckeyes in the regular-season finale in Ann Arbor, the first time this has happened to Michigan since 1994. The Wolverines now firmly sit on the bubble for the NCAA Tournament and could really use some wins in the conference tournament to make up for its current four-game losing streak.
The Big Ten Tournament Championship Game will be played on Sunday, May 24 at 2 p.m. CT.
