Alexander Zverev might be one of the biggest Bayern Munich fans in professional tennis, but his favorite venue away from the sport is not exactly a surprising choice.
The Roland Garros winner was asked about his favorite non-tennis venue and immediately pointed toward the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich’s iconic home in Munich.
“Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich’s stadium. I would absolutely love to play a Tennis match there,” Zverev said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It is easy to understand why.
The Allianz
Arena is one of the most recognizable stadiums in world football, and for a Bayern Munich supporter like Zverev, getting the opportunity to step onto the court there would obviously be something special.
A tennis match inside the Allianz Arena would also be quite the spectacle. The stadium has hosted some of the biggest moments in Bayern Munich history, but transforming the pitch into a tennis court would give Zverev the chance to create a very different kind of memory in a place that clearly means a lot to him.
Considering Zverev’s Bayern Munich fandom, perhaps the club should take note.
