What is the story about?
The Texas Longhorns picked up an early pledge in the 2028 recruiting class with the commitment of Santa Rosa (Calif.) Cardinal Newman offensive tackle King Pitts on Saturday.
The 6’5, 255-pounder picked up his offer from Texas 10 days ago and chose the Longhorns over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Florida State, North Carolina, SMU, and others.
A consensus four-star prospect, Pitts is ranked as the No. 61 player nationally and the No. 6 offensive tackle
in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Pitts is the first pledge in the 2028 recruiting class for the Longhorns, who only hold one pledge in the 2027 class.
