DJ TRUMAN, HIT THAT TRACK!
No, it’s not Eminem. Twenty-four years late for that one.
Mizzou Football is back folks, and we’ve been ready.
Yesterday was a smorgasbord of media availability and our new beat boy Colin Simmons was all over it:
“All right, seventh season, man! What an awesome place to be out. So blessed to be at the University of Missouri for my seventh year, and very excited about this year, this team, what we put together. Appreciative to our administration, to our president, our board
of curators, to our fans, to our supporters who have allowed us to get the best team that we could possibly put together, and it took a lot of hard work. And now we’re excited about the next step, the next journey that we have into trying to become our team this year.” – Eli Drinkwitz
There’s stuff in that article from almost two dozen players and updates on Chip Lindsey’s offense, Sterling Webb coming back to the team, the offensive tackle race, and one non-update on Ahmad Hardy’s return to play procedure.
Stick around here, folks, we’ll keep you well stocked with content.
Yesterday at Rock M and Rock M+
The 2025-26 crew can’t stay together forever, though, and people graduate (Henry) and move on to other endeavors (Hannah is the new ADOP at the Missourian)! Since I decided that beats would switch over on the arbitrary date of August 1, it seemed like as good of a time as any to introduce the crew and let you get to know the new (and old) faces, who are covering allllll the beats! Seriously… I think we are covering every Mizzou sport this year for the first time ever.
You’re gonna see a lot of content from these folks over the coming year, so get to know them!
Also, Karen is working on getting the winners post together for the Rock M’mys, so stay tuned.
- Over at Rock M+, the basketball guys are debriefing on the news that Mark Mitchell is gearing up for another year of college ball… and that it might/might not be with Mizzou. They’re talking how it might impact the current players, if Mizzou would have the budget, and if he would even fit on the roster as it currently exists.
