Former Barcelona star Thiago Alcantara has named his dream midfield trio and included Pedri in his selection.
Thiago was chatting with Rio Ferdinand and was asked to build his dream three-man midfield of current players playing today.
Pedri was the first name on Thiago’s list. He explained: “Pedri, the best midfield player for me in the world right now.
“When I was a player and played with him and when I was a coach now, I had the same feeling that I had with Andres Iniesta at that time.
“Of this plasticity
while playing, like moving all the time in diagonal, and while you’re moving, you see what’s happening around you and taking the right decisions.”
Thiago also went for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha and Arsenal’s Declan Rice as his two other midfield choices.
