According to a report from Kicker (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayer Leverkusen fans could barely wait to poke Bayern Munich’s fanbase after the Bavarians dropped a 2-1 decision to FC Augsburg.
Yes…FC
Augsburg, who entered the contest in 15th place of the Bundesliga and who was also in desperate need of a win. Bayer Leverkusen supporters had a big celebration at the expense of Bayern Munich, after it lost its first Bundesliga game of the 2025/26 campaign:
Bayer Leverkusen fans celebrated Bayern’s defeat today and cheered: ‘Unbeaten champions’ when the Bayern result was displayed through the big screen in Leverkusen, as they remain the only side to win an invincible Bundesliga title.
If you could have bet that Bayer Leverkusen fans would not wait long to party over Bayern Munich’s loss, you would be a rich person right now.
What do they say about poking the bear, though? Well, come March 14th, Bayer Leverkusen fans might find out…the hard way.
