Looking to even the ledger after a 1-2 startto the season, the Los Angeles Rams travel across country to the east coast to do battle with the 2-1 Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday October 5. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PDT at Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The fall weather will be much more temperatethan a winter date. Although full clouds are expected and a 60 percent chance of rain is forecast, temperatures are expected to be in the mid-60’s with mild wind conditions, 7
to 14 miles per hour.
It was 1937, when the Rams were based in Cleveland that the series with Philly had its origins. The pair have squared off 47 times over that span with the Eagles holding a 26-20-1 advantage and have out-scored L.A. 983 to 961. Since Sean McVay took the Rams reins in 2017, Philadelphia has been the bane of his coaching existence, winning six of the seven matchup’s and the last four in a row.
Both teams have been bitten by the injury bug early and several starters have been ruled out of Sunday’s tilt.
For the Eagles, tight end Dallas Goedert and receiver’s Devonta Smith and Hollywood Brown will be absent from an offense that is in the NFL’s Bottom 10 in scoring and total yards. Defensive starters designated as out are linebacker Zach Baun and safety Marcus Epps.
Tight end Terrance Ferguson (ankle), cornerback Jaylen Watson (shoulder), and defensive tackle Aaron Donald (back) won’t play for the Rams, while tight end Colby Parkinson and edge Josaiah Stewart are questionable. Ferguson will joinedge Myles Garrett and offensive linemen Justin Dedich and Keagan Trost on the Injured Reserve List, all were expected to be prominent pieces in the 2026 season.L.A. also waivedtheir primary kick returner, Xavier Smith, earlier this week.
