Gianluca Prestianni’s agent, Gaston Fernandez, has pushed back against what his client has been accused of — racism towards Vinicius Jr. In an interview with Win-Win, Fernandez dismissed circulating claims and emphasized that neither he nor the player has been formally notified of any sanctions.
Fernandez categorically rejected the accuracy of what Real Madrid have submitted to UEFA.
“Everything that has been published about what Gianluca Prestianni actually said in the UEFA investigations is false.
“ No one has officially contacted us to inform us about possible sanctions related to this matter,”
According to Fernandez, neither he nor Prestianni has received formal notice of any wrongdoing or pending consequences.
“ We no longer wish to continue with this matter . We have already made it clear that what happened was not as they tried to present or portray it in relation to Gianluca. From now on, the only thing that matters to us is providing the player with peace of mind.
“When everything is over, we will carefully consider the best course of action .”
While he did not elaborate on what that might entail, the statement leaves open the possibility of legal or reputational measures should the player’s camp feel they have been wronged.
