When announcing their 2026 schedule, the Golden State Valkyries said “Same court.
Louder story. Welcome back to Ballhalla.”
Louder is right — entering their second season as a WNBA team, things can only go up from here for the Golden state Valkyries.
In their inaugural season, the Valkyries made the playoffs, finishing as the 8th seed in the WNBA. They also had multiple members of the organization win
awards, including head coach Natalie Nakase winning the WNBA Coach of the Year award.
As the league expands, the Valkyries will have more competition to beat to make the playoffs for the second year in a row.
The Valkyries will be facing off against fellow recent expansion teams throughout the season. They will be facing the Portland Fire at home on June 2nd and September 18th, and in Portland on August 30th and September 22nd. They will also be facing the Toronto Tempo at home on August 2nd and August 4th, as well as in Toronto on July 8th.
