When Oba Femi won King of the Ring, it was supposed to set him up for a championship match at SummerSlam. After Sami Zayn defeated Cody Rhodes & GUNTHER to win the WWE championship, it sure looked like the company was paving the way to give us Femi vs. Zayn — while holding off on the inevitable Femi vs. Roman Reigns showcase — and the crowning of the next big star on a major show.
Not so fast.
Femi is now tied up with Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match, completely forgoing his title match come
early August in Minneapolis. That leaves Zayn wide open for any challenger. A very vocal contingent of the fan base may not like who is apparently coming for him.
Jey Uso.
The Usos were in the midst of a tough episode of Monday Night Raw in Atlantic City this evening, having been felled by another Solo Sikoa sneak attack when they ran into Jacob Fatu backstage. He told them on orders of The Tribal Chief he’s heading for Friday Night SmackDown to finally handle business with Solo.
That’s when Jey made his big declaration:
“That mean me and you going. Cause my way ain’t go right at Night of Champions. Sami Zayn is champ now. Guess what, Uce? He ain’t got no challenger now. I’m bringing gold back to The Bloodline.”
Oh boy.
Here we go.
