France took care of business against Senegal in a 3-1 victory for the 2018 World Cup winners.
Olise, who operated both out-wide and centrally at times for France, was a consistent performer throughout the contest and did not do anything to hurt the great reputation he has built up over the past two years.
Per Sofascore, Olise tallied the following statistics on his way to earning FIFA’s Man of the Match recognition:
- 90 minutes played
- 76 touches (13 lost possessions)
- 1 assist
- 4 key passes
- 2 big chances created
- 2 shots (2 on target)
- 89% passing accuracy (51 / 57)
- 76 touches
- 2/2 dribbles
- 6/9 ground duels won
Obviously, Olise was thrilled to earn the award and could barely contain his excitement:
Olise and his French teammates will face Iraq on Monday at 5:00PM on June 22nd in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before what should be a fun showdown with Norway on Friday June 26th at 3:00PM in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
