The 2026 Women’s Basketball Big East Tournament has arrived.
The exciting four days of action will begin on Friday from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT and end on Monday with a champion being crowned.
Villanova enters the field as the No. 2 seed after finishing 16-4 in Big East play. The Wildcats come in as winners of eight of their final nine games and are playing as well as anyone in the conference — not named UConn.
The Huskies are currently ranked as the top team in the nation. UConn enter
the conference tournament with a perfect 31-0 record, including 20 wins in the Big East.
Villanova will kick off its tournament action on Saturday in the quarterfinals. As the No. 2 seed, the Wildcats avoid UConn until the championship, if they can make a deep run.

Quarterfinals – Saturday, March 7
- Game 4 – No. 1 UConn vs. Game 1 winner, Noon
- Game 5 – No. 5 Creighton vs. No. 4 Marquette, 2:30pm
- Game 6 – No. 2 Villanova vs. Game 2 winner, 7pm
- Game 7 – No. 3 Seton Hall vs. Game 3 winner, 9:30pm
Semifinals – Sunday, March 8
- Game 8 – Game 4 winner vs. Game 5 winner, 2:30pm
- Game 9 – Game 6 winner vs. Game 7 winner, 5pm
Big East Championship Game – Monday, March 9
- Game 10 – Game 8 winner vs. Game 9 winner, 7pm
