Joey Cantillo had a particularly poor performance yesterday in the Guardians’ loss to the Orioles, but a late loss by the Blue Jays to the Athletics last night leaves the Guardians still leading for the AL’s third wildcard spot.
Cleveland Guardians’ Prospective on Twitter reported that, with the Lake County Captains’ season coming to an end, the team is promoting infielder Welbyn Fransisca and right-handed reliever Cam Schuelke to Double-A Akron. Should be interesting to see what both show in limited
time there remaining this season.
Tonight is a BIG night for Tanner Bibee to show up big and someone to emerge as an offensive hero for the Guardians. Big game to find a way to win.
