Dana White is “sick and tired” of hearing about bad weather and federal lawsuits. The UFC CEO just wants to focus on rolling out UFC Freedom 250 from the White House South Lawn this Sunday night.
No matter what.
It hasn’t been easy for White and company to get to this point. Fight fans were shocked when the UFC White House event was first announced, but that was just the tip of the iceberg for UFC officials. From constructing a massive “Claw” encompassing the Octagon to fighting off federal lawsuits,
White has had his hands full planning UFC’s Washington D.C. takeover.
Not to mention unfavorable weather that could spoil the entire event.
With so much at stake and $60 million in the hole, White has no plans of canceling anything on Sunday night. In fact, White reiterated Friday night during UFC’s White House pre-fight press conference that the event will go down no matter what happens.
Check it out below:
“Listen, the show goes on on Sunday. No matter what happens we’re going,” said White at Friday’s presser. “I don’t care if it rains, snows, whatever happens. We have a fight on Sunday.
“I’m sick and tired of hearing about the weather now and all the other bullsh-t surrounding this event. We are fighting on Sunday night on the White House lawn. No matter what!”
