Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson faced off one final time during the conclusion the the ceremonial weigh ins earlier today (Fri., Jan. 30, 2026) in New York City ahead of the WBO and The Ring Light Welterweight title fight this Saturday night, which is set to go down inside Madison Square Garden.
Both men made weight, as Lopez tipped the scales at 139.6 pounds while Stevenson weighed in at 138.6, making the title fight official. Everyone else also made weight, though news came down earlier that
the event had lost a title fight after Carlos Adames was forced out of his scheduled WBC Middleweight title defense against Austin Williams as a result of an illness (full details here).
